Cookies and a Movie

Mommy took us to see a movie today. It was very loud. I had fun and got to eat popcorn and drink my own coke. We got to see Christmas lights. On base there are lights that look like soldiers or what mommy says nutcrackers. They are pretty. We had dinner and then baked a butch of cookies. Mommy made banana nut bread. I don't like nuts. We are going to send a loaf to daddy and a bunch of cookies to him and his friends. Madi and I wrapped the ones for his friends in Christmas cookie bags. It was fun. Mommy let me do the twisty ties.

My new ear works good now. Things are very loud. It still hurts and mommy gives me my medicine then I feel better. I want to go to school on Monday with Madi. I miss my friends. They are having two Christmas parties this week.

DONE

Not but two seconds after posting the surgeon came in. Can you believe it? Thank you God! They are done.....Talk about God providing. It was more than textbook. In and out. We have some amazing pictures of the operation itself we will scan. Pretty graphic but amazing what modern medicine does. But that won't happen for a few days. I will warn you too. I know there are a few people who get weak in the knees. I was surprised I did not. I am usually different with my kids. I am just so amazed. We are where we are supposed to be. Dr. Lambert's smile said it all. Now waiting for the PACU to call us. Praise Jesus! Might not post for a while. Need to get her settled. Stay tuned.Keep your prayers coming. They have to check to see if her facial nerve is intact. That is the next HUGE step.

Update 2

Another phone call from the OR nurse. Things are going great and they are still on schedule. We should know more about the completion time within the next hour to hour and a half. She is a trooper............that's for sure. Keep the prayers comin'.

Surgery Party

I have three days of school left. Tonight I practiced my spelling words on "Spelling City". I like to do it by the Christmas tree. We also wrapped presents to send daddy in Afghanistan and one for grandma Kathleen.

Mommy is coming to school on Monday. She is making cupcakes and treats to share with my class. We are having a "surgery party" for me. It will be my last day of school for a long time. I am going to miss my friends.

Sick

I am sick today. Mommy said I can stay home so I am better for my surgery. She took me to Burger King. She bought me Iceage 3. I love Scrat. He's my favorite.

Mommy and Me Day

Mommy and I went to see my doctor and found out I get to have my ear fixed for Thanksgiving. We went to the store at her school bookstore and she got me a new MUSC beanie hat for my operation. I like it. It is pink. Mommy took me to the aquarium and they had lots of Halloween stuff there. We got a bag for my surgery. It has a mermaid on it. I got a hat that has turtles on it and hot-pink and dots on the inside. I have lots of pictures of it and mommy put it in her Picasa.
After school on Friday mommy took me to watch her get her hair cut. I get to get mine cut in a week. It looks pretty and I am happy. I have lots of hats now and clips that mommy got me.
